DC Does Texas SXSW Day Party (Wed)
Many thanks to Jumbo Slice over at DC Rock Club for digging up the details on this show. Can’t believe it’s 6 days away and they’re just announcing it now.
For those of you not from the DC area, you may want to take note of the fact that Deleted Scenes and U.S. Royalty are two young bands getting a TON of buzz lately; Laura Burhenn used to be in the dearly departed Georgie James; and These United States have put out more quality music in the space of the last year than just about anyone I can think of. (I don’t know much about Carol Bui or Middle Distance Runner, but check them out too!) So long story short – go to this show and support DC music!
