Waterloo Records SXSW Schedule Announced

Austin’s Waterloo Records always has a pretty good lineup of bands playing during SXSW, but this year’s lineup is just fantastic.

My friends and I usually tend to go either early Friday afternoon after a Maria’s Taco X-Press migas breakfast or early Saturday afternoon on our way back from the Salt Lick BBQ. I think it will probably be Saturday this year, given that one person in our group has work obligations on Friday starting at noon.

That’s fine with me, as it means I can catch POBPAH during one of their 10 SXSW sets.

Waterloo Records SXSW Performance Schedule

Thursday
2pm: Department of Eagles
3pm: Raul Malo
4pm: Jason Isbell
5pm: Howe Gelb of Giant Sand
6pm: Ian McLagan

Friday
2pm: Vetiver
3pm: Heartless Bastards
4pm: Black Joe Lewis
5pm: Telepathe
6pm: Handsome Furs

Saturday
1pm: Pains of Being Pure At Heart
2pm: Tombs
3pm: Suckers
4pm: Cause Co-Motion
5pm: The Knux
6pm: The Bird and the Bee

Waterloo Records is located at 600A North Lamar St. in Austin. For those without a car, well, it’s not the shortest of walks from downtown, but I’ve done it before. In 95 degree heat during ACL Fest.

I wouldn’t recommend it.
